So, has anyone ever figured out why our old elementary school Report Cards were always sponsored by a funeral home? Was that a threat that was supposed to make us want to make good grades? Or just a "reminder ad" for grandma and grandpa when we flashed our report card around? Or just an existential message that it wasn't really going to make a damn if we made good grades or not?
